About

Hertfordshire saxophonist Stuart Sidders

Hi, I am Stuart

A saxophonist from Watford, Hertfordshire.

I am married and live with my wife Susan. We have two children and four grandchildren.

I am now retired from teaching maths privately. One of my proudest achievements was to form a company called ExamSolutions which offered maths learning for free to millions of students worldwide.

I have been playing the saxophone for over 25 years now playing in various jazz groups at weddings, private parties and charity events.

Graham Taylor with my sax

Not the best photo, but one such event was playing at a charity function for Watford football club, hosted by the then manager Graham Taylor, seen here holding my sax whilst I was dropping off to sleep by the looks of it.

I run a weekly jazz workshop in Watford, where we have a group of musicians who get together and play many of the jazz standards.

I love keeping fit by running and have completed several London marathons and half marathons and regularly do the Saturday morning park runs in Cassiobury park, Watford.

As well as playing solo, I have now been joined by a couple of vocalist friends, Sophie Mathews and Sam Dulabh. Together we bring a new vibe and energy to our audiences. They have also helped me raise money for various charities over the years.

Do get in touch if you would like us to play for your event. We are especially pleased to play at Sunday lunches, afternoon teas where we can play our music in the background adding that extra special touch to the occasion.
